I would say the Pontiac personally but you can't always go on repair cost. I mean you also need to take into account what you need it for, do you need the room from the suv or will the car do the trick, which one gets better gas mileage, how does it drive, how many miles, how the previous owner treated it unless your buying new. You need to make sure the car your getting was properly maintained otherwise in the future it could and probably would get real expensive. Best of luck to you.

Grand Am parts are probably cheaper, but they're known for unreliability. I suggest getting the Grand Prix. The engine bay isn't as cramped (which reduces your labour charge when getting it repaired), and the added air circulating around the electronics helps prevent them from overheating (since a second hand ECU can cost $700, this can save you a bunch!)
