Info on 71 trans am

Hi Guys- I have a 71 Trans Am 455 h/o . I am about to do a restoration (my first) and looking for recomendations on fisher manuals in print. The cd version doesn't look good. Also some information on the number and types of black paint under the hood ie- flat semi flat eggshell etc. What goes where ? Lotsa questions huh?

Your best bet would be to get a factory service manual. Check ebay, or they can be ordered from Helm Inc.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. Pictures,especially under the hood shots will help a great deal. I took the engine and front cap off 9 years ago and there are holes in the firewall that don't belong so being able to see the placement of relays and switches etc. is going to be a huge help. Yes I did take pictures and they stayed in the top of my toolbox and managed to bond themselves into one huge mass. Standing by for your photos
