So I am installing a Pioneer DEH-X4800BT into a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. The harness coming out of the car has a think orange wire that seems to be the only one supplying power. The harness with the radio has a red and yellow wire that need power. I can get the radio to work if I run both the red and yellow to the orange but then the radio stays on unless it is turned off on the console. How do I handle this? I am not super experience with this type of work so speak slowly. ;-)

one of the wires on the radio is supposed to get switched power the other wire constant power. The orange wire appears to be constant power so you need to find out which one of the radio wires to connect to that wire and the other radio wire goes to a fuse in the box that only has power when the ignition switch is on.

So I have attached an image of a cord that came with the after market harness I am using to connect to the car... would I use this to run the red cord to the fuse box perhaps?
