Insurance on a 1987 Pontiac Firebird?

My insurance is a little over $1000/6mos with the discount for grades. I'm 16 and i drive a mustang.
Hey Mike what state do you live in and what year mustang? Becuase for PA, the insurance on a 1996 (yes it is a newer mustang) at state farm is $65 per month and 395 every 6 months. You must have an old mustang or something. Oh and this would be multi-car policy (with my parents)

I am 17 and just got my license. I was wondering about how much insurance would cost on a 1987 Firebird in Missouri. I also heard that there were good student discounts (I have a 3.4 GPA).
Yes they do have discounts for students and for state farm as long as it is at or above 3.0 GPA you are in the green
