intake to what

I thought my son left an intake to his ls1 but its turns out it isnt, looks just like an ls1 intake Except the throttle body attaches on top (facing foward) instead of in front.... does anyone off the top of their head know what this is?

without a picture there is no way of knowing based on that description, no markings or numbers?

Well I read the posting pics on faq and it says click the manage attachments but I don't see it on either main reply or quick reply.....no numbers or name other than paper label with 2 or 3 numbers... thanks for the response though...
