I am trying to locate the correct interior paint that came from the factory for my 1960 Pontiac Bonneville. According to what I found online, the correct interior paint is called Academy Blue Metallic Duco® Code - 93188.

My paint supplier who only deals in PPG doesn't carry it. Anyone know how I can obtain some?

Thanks

did you look at the color in the www.amesperf.com full size catalog? Isnt Duco an aftermarket company, you dont have the original Pontiac color code?

Duco is Dupont...... I've seen the 60 Pontiac chips on Ebay for both Dupont and PPG, your paint store isnt looking hard enough , tell them to look in the paint chip books , not the computor....... they can cross reference Dupont , they are just being lazy .................( They can call PPG if they are that dumb)

Thanks for the replies. I have a follow up question on the interior paint. It's metallic but I dont think I'd want metallic for the steering wheel if I am also painting this, correct?

what are you trying to do with this car, make it historical accurate for show purposes or is it just going to be a great looking driver. If you need historical information have you tried the Pontiac Oakland club they specialize in older Pontiacs

Historically accurate. I found a "medium blue" interior paint on Ames that they say is color matched to be right as stock. However its in a rattle can. Should I be comfortable using a rattle can on my dash and steering wheel??

with the proper preparation, degreasing, i see no reason why not. Practice on something first to get the rythm of getting an even coating.
