My '08 Torrent has an intermittant issue. The "Service Stabilitrac" light comes on on my dashboard....and, and when checking with a code reader, P0405 code is present. Also, the Service Engine Soonlight also lights up. When I shut the vehicle off for a few minutes, all the warning lights are off and there is no code present. When I visited the local GM dealer, the service rep stated that in order to repair the problem, the vehicle should be brought in with the warning lights lit up......which is impossible, not unless I leave the vehicle running when I drop it off. The EGR valve was recently replaced. The vehicle has extended warranty on it. The dealer was going to bill my credit card for the first time I brought it in with this intermittant issue. I told them that the EGR valve was recently replace and should be covered under their warranty.
I am slowly getting frustrated with the way the dealer is handling this problem.
If anyone here has the same kind of intermittant issue, I wouldn't mind knowing what the fix was to correct the problem.
