Hi Everyone. First time on here as I'm trying to help out a co-worker. Her blower motor in her Torrent only works intermittently. When it does work, she has all speeds so I'm doubtful it is related to the resistor pack. All of the fuses related to the HVAC system appear to be good. I didn't have a multi-meter to check their continuity. I found a relay that could be suspect, but I have no clue.

Has anyone had an issue like this? I'm really hoping to find a solution for her. With temps over 100 degrees today, her poor 2 year old is roasting during their commute to work and school.

Thanks in advance for your help.

if it is and intermittant thing i would look at maybe the blower motor it self. it may be shorted. have you ever had an old car or truck that had that not work then you kick the dash and it comes on? kinda the same idea

here is what I had with the same problem. Water leaks on to the resistor pack and into the connector and corrodes the plug. For me it was the purple wire, so I cleaned the resistor terminal, then using small side cutters I nipped off the rusted purple wire and plug spade terminal. I then crimped on a new spade lug to the purple wire and plugged that to the correct terminal on the resistor pack. I could then fit the rest of the unrusted plug back into the resistor pack , it was snug but that should keep the single spade connector tight. The toughest part is that 6mm screw that holds the pack in place
