Driving a stock '73 400. Wondering what type of Iridium plugs i should buy. For example, are heat codes the same as with regular plugs? There's single and double Iridium plugs? All information welcome!

Waste of money. Iridium plugs were developed so automobile manufacturers could pass emissions standards for up to 80k miles without plug failure. You will gain nothing by using them. If you still have points consider a points eliminator such as Pertronix or Accel. Combine that with a higher voltage coil and increase the stock copper plug gap from .035 to .045. Also consider a good set of plug wires.

Burning a little oil? If so,...I recommend Autolite Single Platinum....run good in oil burners, I have a set in both of early 90's cars , going 12 years on one set, 17 years on the other set...
