Hello out there looking for some help/ideas to build a 400 for my bird. Any ideas? my budget is about 3500.00 bucks thanks for your help/ideas.
Is it possible to build a 400 on a $3500.00 budget

1. Do you currently have a 400?
2. What transmission are you going to use?
3. What rear end gears are you going to use?
4. What will be the primary purpose of the car, daily driver, weekend cruiser, drag strip, etc.?

currently it has 350 with a 4spd wide ratio . Rearend is a 308 non posi. And it's not a daily driver its a weekend cruiser/ go anywhere car right now.

these are kits to convert the 350 to a 400

you would have to check with local machine shops to find out the cost of boring out your block in order to install the kits
the rear would have to be changed to a posi and a better gear choice such as a 3.55.
