Is pontiac coming out with a new 2010 firebird?

I know that pontiac was said to be closing it's doors but I keep hearing this rumor that a 2010 firebird is coming out soon. Is this true? If so, how competitive would it be with the new camaro, shelby gt 500, and challenger? Web addresses help..

The doors of Pontiac are shut, they do not make any cars. Private companies are taking Camaros and restyling them as Firebirds for hugh amounts of money.
