is there a coolant hose on the back side of the engine

2000 Montana with the 3.4 engine went to town it's humid and in the 90's car ran warm but did not over heat. got home turned the car off about a minute after the car was off huge steam/coolant cloud came from under hood ,, poped the hood and can see where it is wet on back side of engine.

Did I blow a head gasket/ intake gasket or ??
 
Said poop on it ,, took it to my local mechanic ,, told him no rush so could be a week or 3 months ,, I did get the car inspected so I don't need it running to get it legal in Texas. Was wanting to take it with me for work trip to Odessa TX this weekend BUT better it did it here.

Did leave a good size coolant mark outside of my gate which is even better cause I am not worrying about it bothering my dog and it was on dirt!!
 
would need to pressure test the cooling system to determine the source of the leak
 
It was the heater hose assembly. So car is fixed and go get it soon

I am gonna take the gamble and believe that with over 150,000 miles on it the head gasket have been replaced. but I am having the rear drum brakes fixed and a oil change
 
Dont gamble on it!

My 2003 AWD baby just had her Headgasket crack on the Lower Intake Manifold.

In the slow process of playing Dr. Frankenstien as I type.
My baby had one owner (besides myself) and one fender bender. I drove her all Over Ohio for three years for various jobs. And this last winter was very harsh, she has been sitting for three months and I thought the same thing when I first got her 4 years ago.

Even though shes over 150,000 and still going strong does not mean she wont crack that OEM gasket right in two. Mine did and I seen it when I pulled back the plenum.
There is always income taxes. Better to be safe then sorry. Mine is too nice to just junk. I live in Ohio and up here I need the AWD in the winter.

I believe when I am done fixing her, she will last me another 6-10 years. The money I am spending is getting up there, but doing it myself is saving me WELL over 1.5k vs the $3500 a mechanic would charge.

Kinda stuck and the Montana is getting put on the tow dolly behind the Motor home. My good car decided to start spewing trans fluid on my way home Sunday. So since I can't afford to fix that and don't have time to get it fixed ,, 2 days at home which I gotta cut down the jungle that grew in the 3 weeks I was gone.

Been fine if no ac ,, when running the ac she gets warm if sitting in place for to long. Good thing is Indy's temps are better that Texas so I can handle no ac if I have to

Maybe the ac just needs a little charge?
