I've Never Had A Quad 4 Before?

I am tring to find out what I got myself into when I bought my Grand Am. I didn't buy it because of the price or because it was all that was available, i love the body style in the '94, 95, 96. It is awesome, however, I have never had a quad 4 before and people are telling me to beware, why? It has alot more power, which I love! Can anyone let me in on the big secret?

I see there are people looking but not offering anything. I had a 92 and the only problems I had was electolicis between the head and block. That was $1000 for repairs. Had to have it done since I was working out of town. It will eat up the head gasket. also had a lifter go bad. But it wasn't worth repairing since I had loaned it to my son and he found some railroad tracks where he could hit it fast enough to get air. The frame/uni body started giving and the doors were starting to rub on the fenders when you tried to open them.
