I am going to replace the muffler on my daughter's 97 Sunfire. If I am placing the jack stands where the jack normally goes, where should I place the actual jack to get the stands in place?
you should be able to jack the vehicle up and then place the jack stand next to the jack. You hopefully are using a jack and jack stands intended for a pinch welded frame.
Yes, thank you. I just, almost finished. I just realized I have to jack it up again and get the lug nuts off to put the wheel cover on. What was GM thinking in those days!!!
