Keys/fobs/blades

This may sound odd but I like the switchblade key fobs more than any other key because they just are a lot quieter on my key chain with less keys smashing into each other. With that said, would it be possible to have a blank pontiac (or any switchblade key) switchblade key cut to work with a grand am? or even to have the buttons work?

check with an auto locksmith, I think the keys are completely different
