larger engine swaps in a 95

I have a 95 se with a 3.1. can a 3.4 swap in with the same tranny (auto)? do both engines have the same harness and computers...perhaps with a sifferent chip...or are they both totally different? would a 3.8 fit into this style? Sorry so many questions...new to pontiacs....not new to chevy trucks...but FWD engine swaps are new to me.

you can fit the 3.4 DOHC, the 3400, the 3800, the 3800SC and a few others....if you are a going to swap in another engine I would recommend beefing up your tranny and getting the entire engine harness from the donor vehicle
