just bought a 70 SE convertible has a GTO hood I've seen pics online with it but getting different info about it, some some you could order it ,others say you couldn't. Does anyone know for sure? Do you have one, is it from factory? thanks I'm curious, all I know is guy I got it from said it was on when he got it.

You could not order a GTO hood as an option on the Tempest or LeMans in 1970. You can get the dealer invoice from this service showing what was ordered.

I agree that in 1970 you could not order a Lemans with the GTO hood, in 1971 and 1972 you could order the GTO style front end that included the hood on any Lemans, and in the 1973 model year you could order the GTO style hood on almost any Lemans, or Grand Am.
But again not in the 1970 or earlier model years. Sorry
