Hi,

I just bought a 2000 Sunfire for my daughter. I have replaced 8 burned bulbs. This morning I found out the license lights bulbs were also burned. This wouldn't be so weird, but there are no wires going to the bulbs. I guess the p.o. removed them. Is there a place I can get the new wires? Where do they connect?

Thanks.
John

there should be a wireharness in a plastic conduit running from the body of the car going up one of the trunk lid support arms. trace that harness to the license plate socket to determine what you need.

Thanks. I checked that and there is a loom running up the drivers trunk hinge and goes to the lights for the Pontiac. There is a small clip terminal that connects the Pontiac lights to the loom, but there isn't any room for wires for the lights to the sides of the license plate.

did you use a voltmeter or replace the bulbs to determine if there is no current to the bulb sockets?

There are no wires to the bulbs. I didn't check that before I bought the car. I think it was rear-ended and when the trunk was repaired they didn't put the correct wires in. Does anyone have a 2000 Sunfire that could post a pic of how the lights in the trunk lid are required?
