Looking for dads GTO.

Just wondering if anyone would know how to begin trying to find my wife’s dads old GTO. Unfortunately no one can provide me with anymore information other than it was green. He has been deceased since 2006 and had sold it long before that. I have always wanted one and I think it would be amazing to be able to locate his old one and try to see if it could be purchased. All I have to go by is it’s original color and obviously I know his name and where he lived. But apart from that I’m lost. Sorry if this is off normal topic and I have less than nothing to go off of but All I can think to do now is to reach out to the GTO owner community to see if they have any ideas. I don’t know if the DMV would provide previous registered vehicle information of a deceased person to their child or not or even if they would still have said information. Maybe a lost cause but I have to at least put forth some effort even if it gets me no where. Thanks for any information or help anyone can provide.

If you have the vin, its not that hard , most auto insurance companies can find it, without it , most hire a " Rockford " to find it.

Takes a while reguardless......

With out the VIN, I see no way you will find it. Due to privacy laws it would be surprising if the DMV would give you the VIN.
Just try to find one in the color you want.
