Looking for some info

I just bought an 84 Firebird, with a 2.6L V6, Manual. Im looking for a website and or forum that would have all the specs on this car, and were I can find Engine parts and aftermarket parts for this car. If anyone has any type of info please hit me up thanks.

It's a 2.8 any local auto parts store would able to sell you parts. Not much aftermarket because it's not a performance engine.

thanks, ya just read that it was a 2.8. But none the less, I would still like to find some little parts, headers, intake manifold. something to pass me buy until I can get my hands on the V8. Also read that the BW T5 trans will work with the 305 HO for the car?

I don't think you will find any hedders for the engine anymore but, cat back exhaust
mabye an airfilter ..there is really not anything made that will increase the HP of that engine as it was built for economy Not performance ...
and NO the T-5 for the V/6 is diffrent and will not work with a V/8 (even a stock V/8 t-5) will break with any HP applied to it (their Junk) ..

If your going to do an engine swap go for a 350 make it worth the time and money.

Sweet, thanks for the help. I also found a small block 350 with trans, for 400 bucks. I know my cars, and am a little savy with motors, but have never taken one apart my self. What kind of things should I look for and or be werry of when looking at a motor?
