I have several questions: But just hav time for this brief one for now. Just put pump in tank, does anyones check gauge light come on before the gas gauge hits the "E" line? an not talking at the red zone either on the EMPTY LINE!

I guess you dont have the owners manual? Certain years and models have a warning come on as it nears the empty point. If you mention your year maybe someone else can give you a more specific answer.

so confused on ....

year 2001 / 2.2L / 5 speed mannual / bought off a second hand car lot. So no mannual, so Im sorta playing in the dark with no flashie light

1996 - light comes on around just above the E line. (around 1/16th of the gauge) hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Cause I wasnt sure if the new fuel pump was working with the sensor or not. Cause thats what the old pumps range was.

Go to the Auto Parts store of your choice and BUY a Repair Manual specific to that Vehicle. $11.00 to $14.00 or so.
