low beams with high

Hello. I have read lots about running your low beams the same time as high beams. Has anyone done this? Most forums say a diode between the low beam relay and high beam relay. But I dont see one on the 2005 sunfire. There just seemed to be a general headlight relay. Any ideas?

can you post a link to one of these sites? How does the bulb life not completely deteriorate with both filaments on at the same time? Have you considered installing the Sylvania High Intensity bulbs?

Since there are 2 bulbs I don't see how it could be bad. I could see if the low and high were on the same bulb. I googled all on head light mod Silverado since I'm trying to do it on my truck too.

I did the mod on my 90 Silverado and love it, going to do it on my "Bird also.

Radio Shack has a good reviewed 12 volt Relay to use on for it.
