LS Swap

I have 64 Catalina that i am doing an LS Swap and looking for a little help. The power/steering mechanics are located behind the front crossmember. the question is does the PS stuff get in the way? forcing me to go to Rack and pinion steering?

Pat, How far along have you come on your LS swap? I'm in the process of a GEN V LT1 swap myself...complicated by a C4 Corvette suspension swap as-well. Related to your question, I have had to move my engine back quite a bit (8-9 inches) to allow the harmonic balancer to set behind d the steering rack. I'd love to see pictures of your swap.
