Went to look at an 86 fastback gt today. Tried to get it for $350 but he wouldn't budge. I got the car for $500 and a trailer ride in to town. whoever owned it before pulled the distributor because it was running rough. While the distributor was out he cranked the motor. So I'll set tdc, put it back in, and see if it will fire and run rough at least. Then I can go from there to daily drive it.

Will do. I've wanted an 86 gt since my dad bought one like 10 years ago. It's a bit of a project, but nothing I can't handle.
