Ok I have a 1995 sunfire with a 2.2, manual transmission. The other day I tried to drive it and when shifting into 1st gear it felt that the manual shifter was very loose and sloppy, so i checked both connections in the car and under the hood and the connection under the hood came off. so my clutch cable that attaches to something that has like a rod coming out of it? anyone know what thats called? i know its part of the transmission but dont know the name of it, well where it connects to that is where it keeps falling off. On my shifter cable there is like a female end and there is a ball on the other part, well it keeps falling off and I dont know if its the shifter cable or the ball that is attached with a nut, any help will be great!!!!!

look for a diagram and part description at www.gmpartsdirect.com or post a picture
Cant find anything under manual transaxle on that site, well my problem is the manual shift cable it keeps popping off the transmission knuckle, the cable has like a socket and there is a knuckle on the transmission that its suppose to clip or pop onto and it keeps coming off when i shift, was wondering if there is a trick or a easy fix?
