Any tips on replacing a master cylinder ? As far as bench bleeding it, you just put it in a vise , fill the reservoir , put temp hoses on it and route them back into the reservoir and use a screwdriver and bleed it ? Then remove from vise and install on van then bleed lines at each wheel correct ?

basically correct, they make kits that contain the plastic hose, various size nipples that screw into the two ports on the master and a clip to hold the assembly stationary whlle you depress the piston. They also make a tool which is sort of a lever, it bolts into one of the mounting holes of the master, has a short rod which lays on the end of the master's piston and a long lever to push in with.

Where i am lost is from the bench to the van, just put my fingers over the holes and hurry up and screw in the brake lines?

I left the plastic fitting in place with the hoses untill the master was bolted up, then remove one at a time and screw in the metal line, you will only lose a little fluid.
