Was having an annoying hiccup on light acceleration uphill that progressed to hard acceleration multi-hiccup one rainy day uphill. I naturally suspected all ignition sensors and components. While inspecting the MAP sensor I discovered a vacuum line dangling. Pulled out the MAP and connected the hose to the little plastic thing underneath Maybe connected to the MAP hose. Vents finally switch!!! Test ride to do daily duties. Still hiccups. OBD code 66 suggested ECM or A/C pressure switch. Plugged in A/C low cutoff and cleared code. Checked for fouling plug. Ain't been there before on this rig. Cleaned2,4,&6 before dark. Discovered 1,3,5 wires wedged under P/S pump in a bad way. Ripped wire loom and worked wires out of crevice. Felt 'em for cuts and found one on the #1 wire. Double taped with a tag piece. In the morning I was preparing to crawl under or pull intake to get clearance to firewall side and the sun showed me the way. I pulled the serpentine and the ground wire and took the alternator loose. EZ access!!! Cleaned the plugs. Rerouted wires. No Hiccups! Smoother idle.

glad you solved your problem

Update!

Been meaning to update this but it was pissing me off!
Banging on five this morning. Heard a tick-tick-tick from the front.
Popped the hood and there was a beautiful spark from the middle plug boot.
Temporary fix with a piece if hose and she don't hiccup!
Wires are on their way.

awe man that stinks. I am gonna be getting new wires too. They keep wanting to sell me the really good ones but for what I would pay for them I could get the kit and put some together and have a better quality wire since I would be in control of the manufacturing of it.

It sucks when you think you have something licked and then something else goes but from your original post sounds like those were on the way out and better to replace and not worry than to be constantly thinking about it and if it will be the day it don't start lol.

Wish you all the best after you get the new wires and hope it don't have anymore hiccups for you.

Cheap sets on ebay. A custom kit is good. You might end up with enough extra wire for a second set. If I had my stuff from storage I'd just make the one I need for now. I use OReilly's site for part numbers and buy on ebay or Amazon. Both struts $49.98 delivered!
