Anybody know where to get the motor mount plates that the mounts bolt to? I am putting a pontiac 400 into a tempest and dont have any.

Thanks

I was under the impression there was a metal bracket that goes on the motor and the rubber one mounts to the frame and the bracket? If Im wrong then thats great cause they only ones I have found were $160 and at that price I'll fab my own. I just bought the car as a roller and got the motor Tuesday. Neither had mounts so Im just going by what I've heard.

looking at the 71 Pontiac manual the mounts bolt directly to the block and there are plates that attach to the front cross member that the mounts attach to with a long horizontal bolt. Are those plates missing from the front cross member?
