Ok my kids 99 sunfire was making a weird sound when taking off. got looking at it and found the torque strut was wore out. Replaced it and about 4 months later noise came back, this time I bought a prothane one and installed it. I think the top mount is bad and caused the strut to go bad, the top mount is not centered in the metal housing. When you put it in drive and reverse and watch the motor the top realy moves. Anyone else ever have motor mount problems like this and is it the mounts?
