Motor swaps

I’ve seen about every conversion out there. Was wondering if a srt8 motor from a dodge neon would work, and if so how big of a piece will it be to get it done? I’ve got a 3800 swap and that wasn’t bad with all the kits they have out besides the wiring. But if not what performance upgrades can be done to the 2.5 liter Iron Duke motor to just make it a little bit snappier. Love the torque on the low end just not a thing on the upper end

Sadly, not much left in the 2.5/151 performance market. I raced them back in the 90's, when Crane and Clifford plus others had a ton of stuff. My Rpm was unlimited, easily hitting 7500 with a hydraulic cam (solid much higher). Pontiac made Super Duty 151's they used in the Indy Fiero Pace Car that once in a while will show up for sale on EBay.

Can't help you on Neons.....I'm a GM guy only.

I’m not a neon person what so ever either. Hemi power for life tho. And makes sense. Doesn’t seem like anybodys done a swap on these for years looking at the latest YouTube titles

Never hurts to try.....I was the "first successful " person to swap a Cadillac motor in an HBody.

One did it before me but couldn't handle the car, the second tried but gave up.

Mann I guess I’ll do something. I’m no mechanic but I’m not dumb and don’t give up very easily so we shall see lol. Been looking for a different style to go with instead of big body dodges
