i just recently changed the oil in the car but the change oil light wont
go off anybody know what it could be?

Take it to a dealer and have them run diagnostics. I dunno what other things can trigger that light, have you thought that it could relate to oil pressure or oil temp not being right?

Usually when this happens the computer just needs to be reset, so go down to a local shop and have them flash it. If it doesnt work then I would have them check to see if anything is wrong.

When the system has calculated that oil life has been diminished, it will indicate that an oil change is necessary. A CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message will come on. Change the engine oil as soon as possible within the next 600 miles (1000 km). It is possible that, if driving under the best conditions, the oil life may not indicate that an oil change is necessary for over a year. However, the engine oil and filter must be changed at least once a year and at this time the system must be reset.

If the system is ever reset accidentally, change the engine oil at 3000 miles (5000 km) since last oil change.

To reset the Engine Oil Life System, do the following:

Turn the ignition to ON, with the engine off.
Slowly fully press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
The reset is complete when the chimes sound and the CHANGE OIL lamp goes out. If the lamp stays on and no chime is heard, repeat the reset procedure.

Turn the key to OFF.
If the CHANGE OIL lamp comes back on when the vehicle is started, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure
