my 1998 pontiac sunfire is leaking water from the thermostat?

is there a weep hole? do i need to replace the housing? what is the average price for this?

replace it and replace the hose and clamp. add extra coolant to replace what's missing. never open the radiator unless the car is cold, better done after it's parked overnight.

Have you checked the clamps on the hoses near the thermostat? The thermostat is completely enclosed, do you mean it's leaking from the housing?

get gasket sealer,
drain your system from the thermostat.
sand down surface,
apply gasket sealer.
skrew back together and fill up
