Probably the bearings in your right wheel. I do not know why, but the right front bearings always seem to go out first. I thnk because we make far more right turns than left turns.
The bearings are just that. . . .little metal ball bearings which allow the wheel to turn on the axle. Actually, they're in the axle and allow it to turn with the wheel on the axle.
The bearings need lots of lubrication, but because of what and how they are, they use grease, which is kind of a gel. But with time, the gel or grease is used up. then the bearings heat up, and start to wear out.
The bearings start to make noise only in turns, because as you turn the wheel, the bearings get stressed much more than in a straight line. Then it stops once you get out of the turn. Pushing on the brakes sometimes stops the noise a bit, but not always.
It's extremely important to take car to mechanic to check on your bearings, because if you don't get it fixed, the axle will literally be sheared off. I know from experience in two cars, much earlier in my youth of inexperience!! With bad bearings, you don't just keep driving and hope that the problem will go away!!
