My 2002 Pontiac Montana had anti-freeze mixed with oil in engine, whats wrong...

...with it? I found out when I change the oil, turn out it was nasty jello mixed with oil, transmission fluid and an antifreeze mixed came out under the engine. It is head gasket cracked or an Intake Manifold Gasket Set that need to replace it? Some people said mostly like Intake Manifold Gasket Set, not head gasket crack because no sign of white smoke come out of pipe so they said Intake Manifold Gasket Set is more likely need repair. Anyone know the answer or what? Thank you so much for your time to read this question.

If it was the intake gasket why would antifreeze be getting into the oil? You would only get white smoke if the antifreeze is leaking into the cylinder.

The intake gasket problem is a known problem on the 3400 engines. We had ours replaced a while ago. Check with your local dealership, there is a TSB on changing the intake. You may be able to get them to cover some of the cost. If you are handy you can swap it yourself as well. It takes about 4 hours to swap. Make sure you get the newer designed gaskets from the dealership. The aftermarket ones are not the new design yet.

Because there are coolant port's are too close to the valley area. When they leak, they flow into the valley area just above the cam. The new gaskets have a copper sealing edge on them similar to the copper ring sealing the cylinders. It seals the botom edge of the intake to the inside bottom edge of the head.
