my 2005 pontiac sunfire, radio cuts in and out, when radio and head lights are on at the same time the dashboard lights all come on and stay on and dashboard gauges go to zero. Also when pushing on gas peddle lights dim, now when driving car stalls out but will eventually start up again and might stall out again.

Ive owned a few pontiacs and know a few other who do as well..they have absolute shit electrical issues. I got a sunfire now and the damn thing has a new short everyother day, if its not my headlights, its my turning signals...if its not that its my odometer light or my radio or my car starter that seems to start the car automaticly sometimes... its just a big headache all together.
If its causing you to stall, id definetly go to a garage...but just be aware that they might find alot of issues and cost you a pretty penny.

Sounds like the instrument cluster is shorting out. On the older sunfires this was a cronic problem. Could be a grounding problem which can be hard to find. The dealer wanted to charge several hundred dollars to locate the wireing problem on my sons car, he calculated about five hours of wire testing.
