i have a 87 gt 2.8 auto and when i start it it idles up to 2000 rpm and stays there till it hits closed loop at that point it looses throttle and floods out im getting a manifold temp code that is reading -40 degrees. after seeing that i replaced the air temp sensor the o2 sensor and the idle air control and i still have the same problem.........any ideas?????

It's not the air temp sensor that was bad, It is the temp sensor for the computer. It is located sticking horizontally from the lower intake at the front of the engine near the battery. The computer thinks it is -40 so it high idles then dumps fuel to compensate for the cold weather.
