Wow, this is like about the 10th 3.1 that ive heard either seized, headgasket leak, manifold, or waterpump fowl up...Your car has no retail value and probably in a trade in whatever the dealer can lead u to believe it worth via a mark up in the vehicle ur buying or a increase in your financing..The only way you could half way break even is if you knew someone that would put a used motor...$800 in for free.

depends on how its locked up.. if its seized, you're getting a new motor or having someone rebuild the one you have.
