My Fiero Needs transmission work-- Help!

Ok guys-- my lovely 84' Cherry red Fiero needs the trans rebuilt, or a new one put in-- I live in a suburb of Detroit, and basically- I don't know who to take it too, who to trust with my baby!
Multi State seems like a rip off. Trans work can be expensive. What to do.
Any advice? Right now she's sitting pretty, but I can't drive her. Taking the bus to work..

if u were closer to west virginia i could build u a good transmission id suggest a jasper unit unless u find a reputable shop in the area jasper has a good warrenty nation wide
