My hazzard lights on my Pontiac Sunfire are working, but the turn signals are not.?

The hazard lights are working, I checked the fuse all is fine, I finally found the "flasher" and tested it. When I pulled it out, the hazards stopped working. When I put it back in the hazards started to work again. Next to the "flasher" was a square white 3 pronged fuse type piece, still don't know what it is.

I purchased a new flasher thinking that mine could possibly be bad, Advance Auto Parts listed the same "flasher" for the turn signals as the one that for the hazards. When I tried the new one, the same results, hazards worked, turn signals didn't. What could be the problem? PLEASE PLEASE Help me!!!! Thanks!

Make sure the hazard and turn signal flashers are not separate ones, they may not be the same flasher, you may have 2 of them. Then put the turn signal on and see if the light is just staying lit or there is nothing at all (check both sides) If there is no light you might have a bad turn signal switch. If you do get a light then it is either bad bulbs or a flasher.
