Hi every one, as you can see im new here. I want to show you guys my pontiac Sunfire 2003

now i have to big problems i would wish for your help. Im trying to fix the AC and the bumper.
Here an image of were i believe is the AC tubes.

Okay my curiosity is were are the tubes located for the AC? i was told by my mechanic that the two center AC spot (the ones underneath) have no air current because the actual tubes were the air must be carried is not hooked up. Now he's willing to charge me 150$ just to plug those tubes in or whatever he need to plug them in which honestly is a waste of money. SO i rather do it myself however im not sure were they could be. If you have played with the ac or the air conditioning and know were these tubes might be found or the problem, please let me know asap (Summer is getting hotter and hotter in California).

Now my 2nd problem and a tough one is cosmetic. Ive seen many videos or restorng a bumper. So i know its possible, however as you can the see the bumber is a bit cracked. I was told i can find a form of gel that could stick the small crack together. My plans is to use the gel or whatever i need to fix it. Once i do that i wish to repaint the bumber. However my car is silver so its a tad hard to recreate the same color coat. I will obviously sand it and put numerous of coats on it (I have a paint gun). However im not sure what material to buy for the bumper. I've never done it so im not sure what paint or primer or whatever i must get.

Please if anyone knows the answer i'd be glad if you could help me as soon as possible .

Thank You.

A/C produces cold air, it has nothing to do with whether you get air coming out of the vents so there is some sort of misunderstanding between you and the mechanic. When you select the different fan speeds does air come out of those vents when you have the control set for the dash vents? If the fan works at all speeds and you dont get air coming out of those vents it's related to the selector door under the dash or the ducts connected to it.
For the correct product for the bumper go to a local auto Paint supply store.

Hi thank you for a fast reply and im not well known in cars i just know a few here and there but not technical terms. The setting for the power of the air works as both my far air conditioning vents produce and spit out air. However the two middle ones do not what so ever even on the highest power. The mechanic told me the issue however i dont remember his exact words so i tried making a quick referance above. ANyways so you think it could be one of the doors? how would i be able to fix that? From what i remember he mention how air is not coming through because of a piece that is not fully connected right. How would i be able to access the Air conditioning unit from the engine? or am i only able tp go underneath it?

Also thank you very much for the bumper. Im realizing that i could buy a new bumper or go to a junker and fine a mint bumper since mine is a bit total or not attractive.
Thank you

Your problem has nothing to do with the air conditioning unit on the engine. There are doors under the dash that route airflow either to the floor or the dash or to the windshield. The position of the doors are controlled by the setting on the dash which activates motors under the dash that open and close the doors.

Okay I see so most likely my problem is in the dash. My air conditioning flows air great on the air vent and the bottom for the feet but not the top middle ones :(. Would this be an easy fix (obviously takes time) or would you rather I go and pay 100$+ to get it connected or fix?

You have to make that decision based upon your skill level.

Ok the hoses you point out on the firewall are the heater hoses to the heater core. Whats wrong with your car is the doors that shoot the air to your vents is stuck. Take off the top of your dash you should be able to see the cables that run the vents. not sure whats wrong with them but thats the place to start. Then send us more info. Should take you abour a half hour to get your dash top off. Dont forget to take off your neg batt cable and pull your airbag fuse out and wait 15 min before you start! look on Utube for cavalier and sunfire vids about taking off your dash
