hello everyone =)

I finally got my car on the road! woohoo!!
albeit i had to install a custom manual fan switch ;p
on the ride home i was so worried something would go wrong, but halfway through the 45 min drive, i said **** it and turned up some metallica and enjoyed the ride.

i wish i could post here without asking for help, but i guess it doesnt work that way lol.. when it started up, it would sit around 2k, for about a minute or so. once it got warm it settled down around 8-1.3k depends on how warm it is. also i couldnt let it coast in gear, or it would popback out the pipes.. which is pretty damn loud >_> (kept getting the code 42, i replaced the connector for the TPS and was able to adjust it so now my code 22/23 is gone) so i took a page from the FSM and found out where he must have wired in this stupid "timing advance curve" knob. so i temporarily ran a wire from the connector on the distributor, to the ECM, instead of hunting down wherever he did it..(i was almost late for work)

now i dont get any codes, and no more popback! woo hoo! just gotta let the ECM reset it self... wait.. more codes? now i got a 16, 35, and 51! lol... idle stays really high. starts at around 2200, hot it runs 1500~ reset the ECM, after checking the prom, and the wires hanging by the 02 sensor... (there is no way to plug it in) all i get now is an occasional code 35. i let it run with the air cleaner tube off the TB, and sure enough, the IAC bypass hole is sucking like a madman. when i block it off with my thumb it just about dies. i know its not a vaccum leak, its got to do with the computer, wiring, and IAC. GAR.. i guess its a good thing i have two spare ECM's and a lifetime warrentee on the IAC.

is there something else that could be causing this? i'm looking into getting an o2 sensor slapped in, its cheap. and one of these days im replacing the other 3 temp sensors.

thanks guys =)

well, i tested the motor, and checked the wires. all good. and the computer actuates it. i took the IAC out and moved the pintle out a little bit untill i got a warm idle of around 1000 rpm. it stayed that way for a while, but the next day i drove it around long enough for it to set an idle speed error, and after that the warm idle is up to 1500, cold is 2k. could this be a short in another circuit or something that is tricking the computer into thinking it has additional loads that it doesnt have? also i have a code 13, which im planning on changing the o2 today or tomorrow. but that shouldnt affect the idle speed any right?
