My seat won't adjust up and down

I have a Pontiac Grand Am SE 2005 and out of the blue my seat adjuster, the one to make the seat go up and down, decided to stop working. You see I have no idea if the seat takes a fuse or not but there are two people that drives this vehicle. One is myself who is tall, and the other person is 5 inches shorter than me. And at this prior moment the seat is stuck in the shorter position, and my Rear View Mirror became a dangerous blind spot for myself, and I have zero idea what to do to fix this. and Google has been no help for me at all. Please try and help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

I would check all fuses and look under the seat and see if any wires are loose or disconnected

Could the circuit breaker still be the problem even if power is still going to the seat?

If the seat has power, I would look at the switch or a motor.
