My gf has a 2001 grand am 2.4 l twin cam and the service vehicle soon light is on as well as abs light, and the trac off light is on. I took it to an autozone to have it scanned expecting some codes and it came up nothing. i know before its had problems where after driving it for a little bit it seems to lose its power on and off and it gets jumpy. any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

The service engine soon light tells you it's time to do some work on the car to make sure it runs well..the engine light tells you something is wrong and you only get codes for the engine light..I would do a full tune up..Plugs (autolight double platinum),boots (bwd), air filter(K&N or any kind), fuel filter, all the fluids, clean out the throttle body..that should fix the drivability problem and I can't remember how to reset the (service engine soon) Light..it should be in your car manual ..as to the abs, you need to take it to a shop that has a abs scanner..you can't just use any kind of scan tool for that...or you could try testing the whole abs system with a volt meter..

And add some lucas full system fuel cleaner be for you fill your tank up..DO NOT PUT THE LUCAS IN AFTER YOU FILL YOUR TANK..

You need a scanner to reset the ses light.

I know you can reset it by disconnecting the the "neg" battery post...but this will reset everything..

not sure untill you do the things i posted since it does sound like a lack of upkeep..but after you do that i would think it will fix your problem..but can't say it's a fact it will make everything all better..but it will make it run alot better plus better mpg

With obdI this works. ObdII '(95) and newer needs to be cleared with a scanner.

This is not true j_huhnke! you pull off the neg for about 5 mins and the code WILL clear..At the chevy dealership I work at we call it "Dead heading" since some people don't want to go back to a shop or auto parts store to reset it with a scanner, do to time and cost..
