What is your take on a full locker rear end?

Nothing wrong with a locker on the street. I am using a PowerTrax unit in my 11 sec street driven 455 powered Olds. Works fine. Don't notice it at all unless you floor it going around a corner! You don't want to do that!:D
 
If I put a blower on my car, Will it kill the motor? I already got the NOS kit for it. I am thinking like a vortech or maybe a whipple .
 
If you are going to run nitrous and a blower on a high mileage stock engine you are asking for trouble. Infact one or the other and your asking for trouble. But I would have gone with the blower before the nitrous.:D
 
Anyone know what type of a blower works well on a 5.7 T.P.I. V-8?:D

Try ATI. They make good blowers.
 
If you are going to go forced induction, you will probably have to have some tuning done to the computer. Also it might be a god idea to upgrade the fuel pump. You do not want the motor going lean. Is your nitrous kit a wet or dry setup? Are you looking at a centrifugal or roots type blower? A centrifugal blower is usually easier on the bottom end of your motor.
 
I have heard good things about Vortech, have heard negative about Powerdine. I know, not very specific. I trust the person that helped me build my motor.

Will I have to do anything to my bottom or top end to handle the boost that a charger puts out? I will if I have to, but Id rather not. Cause if I blow the motor, it gives me an exuse to buy a new one!!:D
 
Just redo it before it blows, then you can reuse your block.:) Alot depends on how hard you push it.
