Hello everyone I am the happy new owner of a 2002 formula firebird. I am wondering what I can do maintenance wise to get the car running tip top. I.E. Spark plugs and ignition wires, which brand, should I flush the coolant and go dexcool with it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is my first american muscle car. I always have had 4-cylinder forced induction vehicles. Take it easy on me for that. I was a young guy back then lol.

so you have no maintenance records from the previous owner/s? How many miles on the car? Get your hands on a copy of the owners manual or look it up online.

good point I have the car fax on it. It has 26,500 miles on it. I should look at that. I know the air filter needs to be changed. The car is stock other than a after market radio and a gibson exhaust.

change the air and fuel filter, and flush and refill cooling system

Ok sounds like all the stuff you would do on any other car. Is there anywhere to get a reverse taillight and a motor for the antenna cheap? Also is dexcool preferred?

I checked those websites. They only say they go up to 1981. As for the antifreeze question thanks.
