Hey new here and just picked up a new project - an 85 fiero GT V6 4 speed - not running.
Week 1
Turn the key and nothing, pulled the starter motor and bench tested - ok cleaned all connections and re installed - nothing - bumped solenoid with wire direct to battery and ok - time to start searching through the ignition switch wiring - previous owner(s) did some customizing
- got sidetracked at this point by interior lights - domes come on but the bulbs were removed from the courtesy lights under the dash - installed bulbs and... nothing - close door and dome light goes out and under dash lights come on dimly accompanied by buzzer -hmmm I smell a ground problem somewhere - while hunting this down I pulled the fuse block and found a wire that had melted it's insulation on the back side of the block. My fun with project fiero begins!
