I just picked up a 87 Fiero with the 3 speed auto. I got it super cheap because it was sitting at a friend's friend's yard for years lol.. dirty but no rush. Needs a lot of TLC. I've been trying all day today to get it started and have had no luck. I changed the plugs, wires, and fuel filter. It turns over fine but fire up. I even checked and it's getting spark but only one plug is getting wet. I'm going to pick up a node light tomorrow to see if the harness is sending a pulse to the injectors. I did some searching and found some fuel injectors on eBay. Was wondering if anyone knew if they are going to work. The ones I have look different but even this ad states they are interchangeable. I just want to make sure. Also if you can think of anything else that I can check out please chime in :D

Can't wait to hear it run!

I posted your question in another web site, as I see some answers, I post them here.

(I tried to put a link, but it looks like this site doesn't like cross linking)

From Member: Hudini

First check the fuses, there are 2 fuses marked TBI 1 and TBI 2. Then spray the intake with starter fluid to see if it will run on that. If yes then check fuel pressure. If no then check the color of the spark. Should be "electric blue" not white or yellow. Can branch out from there if still no go.

Ignition module and/or the coil are usually the reason for a no start problem.

Would not hurt to pick up both, swap out one at a time, most of us that have been left stranded on the road carry an extra one, as it's a comon fault.

Be sure to to buy some heat sink grease at the auto parts store if the module doesn't already come with it's own little tube. You NEED to smear it on the bottom of the new module before you screw it back into place.

Do not short cut that process, as the new module will fail quickly w/o the grease.
