Have a 2001 Grand Am se1 battery was bad at it tested at AutoZone only read 5 volts so I bought a new one replaced it now when I try to start it all the lights come on but I don't even hear a click what should I do
Two coming out of the positive from the battery its 11.89 going into the starter I took the starter out last night and jumped it everything seems to be moving right I checked all the fuses under the hood and the driver's door they were all good I don't know about the relays I can't find a diagram that will show me what 4 digits should be on each relay in each spot I'm stumped
A new battery should show close to 12.75.
Where is the 11.89 reading?
Did you carefully look at the battery cable terminals under the insulation for signs of corrosion?
Did you look in the owners manual for the starter relay?
