• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... My wife has owned her 2000 Pontiac Sunfire Gt(2.4) for about 8 years and the car has been absolutely great...til now; it developed a rattle/knock and after replacing the timing chain-still there, pulled the pan and found a bad rod bearing, the crank journal is scoured.
So, since she isn't ready to let the car go even if we could afford to get her a new one; I'll be rebuilding this one.
I have a Haynes manual and all the tools and I can turn a wrench just fine, but with all vehicles; there are tips and tricks to different models that I am more than willing to listen to.
I'm in the process of rebuilding a motor for my Subaru Wrx, but that's getting put on hold for now...
Again; any tips or tricks that can be sent my way would be greatly appreciated...
In fact, and I'm not sure how we do things on this particular forum(posting minimum, join time, etc.) I'll probably be looking for parts as well.
Thanks, Joe
