• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... hello, everyone. early on this year i finally got my hands on my dream car, a 1962 Catalina. the body was straight for the most part, had four decent tires, interior was thrashed but, most importantly, it ran! the guy i bought it from had installed a chevy 327 in it with holly carb and fuel pump, edelbrock intake manifold, and hooker headers with straight pipes.
now, my main reason for joining this forum is to learn more about my car and look into some different engine/transmission combos. i'd really like to get some more performance out of this thing. i don't need to go super fast, just a little faster. fuel economy is obviously not a huge concern of mine. if anyone has any suggestions, i'd love to hear them.
next week i'll be taking her to get the seats reupholstered. i'm really looking forward to that.
thanks in advance for any help!

ps. more pictures to come!

welcome to the forum. As far as engine changes you can switch back to Pontiac or stick with Chevy. In either case the only limiting factor is your budget.
